What time is check in and check out?
Check in is usually 3pm
Check out is usually 11am
Can I get an early check in and a late checkout?
Wherever possible yes. Just ask us. We don't charge anything for early check ins or late check outs and will be absolutely happy to accommodate you if we can.
Do you provide bed linen, tea towels and bath / pool towels?
Yes.
Is the house air conditioned & heated?
Yes. Every bedroom upstairs has it's own heating / cooling split systems and there are 2 more split systems in the upstairs living area and kitchen. Downstairs there is another split system in the living room although it usually stays cool down there so it's rarely needed. All north facing upstairs windows have metal external blockout blinds to help with cooling on really hot days. In terms of heating, you will likely find that the upstairs wood heater is all you will need, (we provide all the firewood you will need). If not you can use the split systems to heat each room. Every bed also has an electric blanket fitted, the bathrooms all have Infra red heaters as does the outside BBQ area. Finally there are 2 large split systems in the games shed that heat and cool. The games shed also has it's own wood heater.
Is the kitchen fully stocked?
Yes. In fact we guarantee it! If you find yourself in need of a utensil that is not in our kitchen let us know and it will be provided as quickly as it can be purchased and delivered. You will also find a vast array of sauces, spices, oils etc.
Is the pool heated year round?
Yes. Not to a bath like temperature, depending on the weather the pool is typically between 24 and 28 degrees celsius. If you would like it at the warmer end let us know before you arrive and we'll do our best to get it as warm as possible for you.
Are pets allowed?
Yes. The front door of the house has a doggy door so they can come and go as needed. Please however be aware that the house is not fully fenced and small dogs would easily pass through the fences that do exist. Of great importance with dogs staying is that they are not allowed to roam into my neighbours paddocks. A number of my neighbours have livestock and will not at all take kindly to strange dogs chasing their animals.
What is the rule on late night noise?
We expect guests to be considerate of our neighbours. Whilst the closest is 150 meters from the house noise does travel through the valley below the house so you do need to be considerate. If you are inside the house or in the games room you can pretty much be as noisy as you like. If however you are on the back deck or around the pool late in the evening you will need to turn any music down to reasonable levels and keep conversation noise levels below shouting.
Can we interact with your horses.
Yes. But please only when we are present. If you would like to meet them we can arrange a time and we will bring some carrots for you to feed them. Horses get easily overwhelmed by crowds of strangers and can kick / bite if they feel threatened. Please do not seek to pat or interact with the horses without one of our family members with you. Whilst unlikely we would hate for you to get hurt.
Do you also live on the property?
Sometimes. We will be on the property daily to feed the chickens and horses. We will of course stay out of your way but if you need anything we are never too far away.
What if I need something during my stay or am unhappy with something?

So if you need anything or if something is not 100% to your liking please reach out and we will do everything in our power to sort it out immediately.
What is your cancellation policy?
It varies depending on who you book through. Our direct booking cancellation policy is that 100% of your deposit is refundable if you cancel 60+ days before your check in date. After that we will refund 100% of your deposit if we resell your dates.
